The head of neonatology in one of the big hospitals in Israel contacted me
about getting his hospital to be "baby friendly". They have two post partum
wards - one with full rooming in for years, and the other regular nursery
care. He would like to advance toward becomming baby friendly. There is no
"baby friendly" hospital in Israel yet.
He wants to give the staff some kind of questionaire on their attitudes to
"baby friendly". He knows he might encounter resistance, but is willing to
work on this. He sees this as a preparation to get "baby friendly". I
promised to ask you experts if any of you have done something like this
before, what you would ask, and how to approach this.
This is the same neonatologist taking part in organizing the breastfeeding
course for the Ministry of Health nurses in Israel. It is rare to find a
neonatologist so bf friendly, and I am very happy to work with him. I would
like to help with any information you could send me.

Thank you in advance,

Dr. Mira
