UK standard advice *used to be* to rub through rubber teats with salt, when
washing them,  and before sterilising, to make sure any milk deposits were
wiped off - sort of scoured them, I suppose.

Now, standard advice is not to use salt,  in case traces of salt remain.
I've never heard of anyone being advised to actually boil in salt.

Also, standard advice is to sterilise with the usual solution of
sterilising tabs dissolved in water, and then to rinse the whole lot with
boiled, cooled water, in case traces of sterilising solution remain.


What a palaver. Just makes you wonder why anyone wants to bother with
bottles.....: )
