Is from "The Politics of Breastfeeding" by Gabrielle Palmer.  I  have the 2nd 
Edition, published 1993.  The first paragraph of the first  chapter, 
entitled:  "Why Breastfeeding is Political" begins  with:
 
"If a multinational company developed a product....."
 
Page 19.
 
It looks as though Gabrielle wrote it herself.
