As I sit here and drink my coffee, I have noticed as I read that the notes
are becoming slightly sarcastic in response to Dr. Karp.

To discuss things professionally, which is and has been my goal since 1995
when I started this list, we must maintain discussions that are
professional in tone. We can argue vociferously. We can disagree totally
and say so. We can and should cite the research that backs up our
"opinions," because as my good friend, Barbara Wilson Clay says, if we
ain't got it in the research, and if we don't know what the heck is IN the
research, we have not got a lot. NO ONE reads and knows the research like
Barbara, .....and we should all aspire to it.

But, to remain credible, we cannot take on tones of sarcasm. Let's keep to
the high road, and keep on discussing and arguing and citing and most of
all learning.

Thank you. Back to my coffee. Kathleen
