I read what I could find on Tracy Hogg, the "baby whisperer" some time back.
I seemed to recall a connection between the Haberman and colic. I did
another google search and brought up those old magazine articles, plus a
search on findarticles.com and couldn't fine anything. I looked at her old
web site www.babytec.com and couldn't find anything about colic and
Habermans. BUT my memory says there was something at one time. I suspected
it may have been on the web site since the magazine articles wouldn't have
changed. She does sell Habermans but there is no mention of colic connected
to them at this time (on this web site).

She references and links to the "Finish the fist side first" article in her
colic section. She say "I recently located a [document] published by the La
Leche League International by Melissa Clark Vickers outlining an article
written by a British researcher Michael Woolridge, Sept - Oct 1995. The
pages 69 - 71 give an interesting point of reference to this topic" where
the [document] links to http://www.lalecheleague.org/LVfinish.html

Then low and behold, just as I was beginning to doubt my memory, I was
magically whisked to another website of hers and read:
"Welcome to Babywhisperer.com's Online Store http://www.babywhisperer.com/
and this site http://origin.babywhisperer.com/store.htm both seem to be the
same site where the Haberman is a clickable picture on the front page.

It was as if she was whispering to me, over here, over here......

and when I clicked that Haberman picture I found:
"The Haberman Feeder
Price: $23.00 each
Tracy recommends this feeding bottle for mums who breast or formula feed and
she has used it successfully to solve many colic problems associated with
feeding as well as gas.
The Haberman Feeder is so effective and easy to use that it can actually
change feeding sessions from a difficult or even traumatic experience into a
pleasurable activity for the mother and baby. A specially designed valve and
teat adjust milk flow to suit baby's needs. A one-way valve prevents
flooding and overwhelming the baby. If the baby cannot nurse at all, or just
needs a little help, the bottle can be squeezed to release a limited volume
of milk."

It seems the www.babytec.com site now links you directly to the
www.babywhisperer.com site. The sites are different. If you want to see
the www.babytec.com site do a www.google.com search using "babytec.com" and
then click "Show Google's cache of babytec.com".

I have a habit of opening google's Cache instead of current sites because
they open more quickly and because my search terms will be highlighted -
which can be very convenient. This can lead to interesting finds at times.

Carla, signing off on the Haberman / colic / scavenger hunt front for today
