I often write in the little diagnosis area on the superbill "electric
breastpump necessary to prevent mastitis" (when a mom is engorged) or
"to prevent abscess" (if mom has mastitis) to help facilitate
reimbursement.  This way it is clear that the pump is being used to
prevent injury, or further injury.
