The new Tennessee law states the following:

"HB3582 Permits breastfeeding of an infant 12 months or younger in any location, public or
private, that the mother is authorized to be; prohibits local governments from criminalizing or
restricting breastfeeding."

"This bill specifically exempts the act of breastfeeding from the definitiion of public indecency or
indecent exposure and specifies that the act could not be considered nudity or obscene or sexual
conduct."

The last line of the first paragraph seems to protect breastfeeding of "any aged" child if the local
governments are not to criminalize or restrict breastfeeding. The entire second paragraph seems
to do the same- there is no age limit listed withthe second paragraph.

I nurse in public almot everywhere my son and I go. He is 22 months old.
