Just venting...just about 2 months ago I asked the local compounding
pharmacy to order domperidone, which they did.

Sent a mom there today with an Rx for domperidone and it was not filled.  I
spoke with the pharmacist, who states that "domperidone is illegeal in the
US" and that he cannot compound it any longer! (case closed)

Does anyone have any idea if this situation will change or what we can do?

I am an IBCLC in western Washington, currently active duty military.
Currently working in Family Practice as a nurse (RN); teach breastfeeding
basics, working mom/nursing mom, help couplets on the ward (30-40
deliv/month).
I'm currently nursing: 8 month old, 2 year old and 4 year old.
I understand that there are military folks looking at our current military
breastfeeding policies.  It's sad enough to see colleagues go off to war,
but even more devastating when they have nurslings.

For disclosure purposes: I also started a maternity ∙ nursing ∙ baby shop a
year ago with my husband, called Baby Boat. (babyboat.com)
Although we sell nursing supplies, I teach moms about the siplicity of
nursing and encourage them to use as little "gear" as possible.
