> Hi, I saw your post on Lactnet about FPIES. I have a son who has Mast Cell Activation Disorder, but was misdiagnosed as FPIES at first. I had to eliminate 20+ foods from my diet for him to tolerate my milk. He had a horrible reaction to Neocate. We were told that if the baby reacts to more than a few foods, or reacts to all elemental formulas then it's most likely a mast cell reaction and not FPIES. Also, there are several options for elemental formula. Neocate, Elecare, Puramino, and Alfamino. There is also hypoallergenic formulas that do have broken down milk in them, but that some babies don't react to. Allimentum Ready to Feed (ONLY the liquid, not the powder) is corn free (corn is a trigger for some). You can also order HIPP Pre- HA (has to have Pre-HA listed) from overseas and it has minimum ingredients in it and no corn.
