<Warning:  Irony ahead!>

Barbara, don't be surprised. That happens in Texas all the time!!
Babies blow air in the breast and cause engorgement, mastitis,
embolisms, and almost always lead to weaning. Babies burp into the
breast, blow into the breast and otherwise pump it up while
breastfeeding on a fairly regular basis.
<End of Irony>

I wish I were making this up!! I hear these stories from WIC staff,
hospital nurses and doctors who say moms have given this as a reason for
weaning. The saddest stories, though, come from moms who say their
doctors told them they needed to wean because the baby blew air into
their breasts.

Now come on, people, if a tiny baby could blow air with such force into
a breast and make it bigger, don't you think men would have discovered
the trick a LONG time ago???
