Here are my thoughts

- keep breastfeeding since baby is gaining and mother wants to continue
- don't worry about green vs yellow color (but do follow whether there is blood, lots of mucus, explosive)
- keep a food diary because ""the blood did disappear for about 2-3 weeks but then came back last week (blood present in about 6 diapers total for the week).""
- I did think of lactose overload, (oversupply or foremilk/hindmilk imbalance) which for this dyad might be treated with just complete breast drainage on first side using compressions before switching to second side if baby wants it.
- consider enzymes (I am not well versed in this) for the mother and/or baby and/or pro- or pre-biotics (you would have to do some research on this
- check our archives I think some of our bf-friendly docs have commented on management of this type of case
- can she get to Dr Newman's clinic in Toronto (your address said Guelph ON) which is 1 hr 13 min according to internet
