Yes, it appears North Carolina law was violated:
NC Gen. Stat. sec. 14-190.9, 1993 The indecent exposure statutes states a
woman has a right to breastfeed any public or private location that she has
the right to be, even if the nipple is exposed during or incidental to
breastfeeding.
