I have just heard from a mother whose doctor (a GP)  has told her she
won't be able to continue breastfeeding as she has started
supplementing  (on the advice of the same doctor).

The use of supplements has apparently caused her to 'think her milk
away' so she should just stop now.

At first I was cross - still am - but it strikes me that if this
doctor often tells mothers to supplement, and then notices that
mothers have less milk as a result (duh!), then this is the doctor's
explanation....the power of the mind alone has reduced the milk.

Pah!
