I have been in front of the tv (I NEVER do this!!), but have been watching the US presidential primary results. Anyway, probably once every 15 minutes or so there is an ad for a drug for anything and everything from restless legs to joint pain. Each and every drug lists side effects such as depression, aberrant sexual desire and cancer. No wonder mothers are nonplussed by the side effects of artificial feeding, such as ear infections and gastroenteritis. Compared to cancer, no big deal! The marketing of drugs in the media has desensitized folks to the very severe risks of prescription drug use. Very, very smart on their part.
