Has anyone had a close look at the study that came out in Pediatrics,
May 2003, concluding that the use of palm oil and palm olein in infant
formula may adversely affect skeletal development? Lead researcher is
Dr. Winston Koo at Wayne State University. Reason I ask is b/c it seems
to indicate at least one serious drawback to the attempt to supplement
infant formula w/ DHA to make it "more like breastmilk," but I haven't
heard anything more about this.
