Dear Lactnet Friends;

In the US, BabyFriendly hospitals in my city are delaying the newborn bath
12 to 24 hours. The WHO recommends delaying the bath from 6 to 24 hours.

The newborn is born with a protective coating that keeps them warm. Why
wash that off?

This also increases breastfeeding rates.
