Thanks for that information Linda.  The midwives have asked me to see
the mum tomorrow morning, so hopefully we can sort something out for
her.  In the meanwhile I have suggested 3 hourly attempts at
breastfeeding, not forcing, just offering, a supply line with any
EBM plus formula as required, expressing 3-4 hourly.  I spoke with a
midwife today who said that the baby appears to not be able to draw
and hold the nipple in its mouth as the mother has very soft nipples.
 I hope that actually seeing this mum in person will help.  She
successfully fed her previous baby EBM from 4 weeks of age for 12
months due to returning to work, so I think she will be a keen
breastfeeder!
