Hello!

I am a new mom, a Certified Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician,
Search & Rescue Canine handler, and someone who is interested in learning
more about Lactation Consulting, etc. I also have 3 years of Pediatric
Experience so looking at Lactation Consulting for the future seems like an
interesting field.

I wanted to tell you all, in my opinion, when I started to put Elizabeth on
occasional bottles the only one that worked was the AVENT. By the way, I by
no means am involved with selling this product. The bottle is very wide
with a silicone nipple that has a large base, shaped like Mom's areola, &
more rounded non-collapsible nipple. I tried several latex nipples & the
Johnson's Healthflow silicone nipple before this one. Happily Elizabeth
takes the bottles great now so I can have some independence, like going to
an EMS conference this week.

I was wondering if a baby with a history of allergies & milk intolerance
could still breastfeed? I saw a friend of a friend this past weekend and
she said she now uses a soy formula and could not breastfeed because of this
problem.

I look forward to being part of this group. Your postings are all so
interesting. Have a great day!
