I'm looking for the evidence that breastfeeding can or cannot effect the
healing process, or certain healing processes.

A woman has been advised she should plan to quit breastfeeding before her
tummy tuck is scheduled so it will heal properly. Years ago another woman
required a vaginal-rectal fistula repair and was advised that since she was
close to a week postpartum when it was diagnosed, she'd have to wait until
she no longer bf to repair it as it would not heal if the repair was done at that
time.

Thank you, Lisa
