Had an unusual situation that occurred on our maternal child unit this past
week and was asked to post this on lactnet for some feedback. Does anyone
know of any books, literature etc. out there that promotes fathers to
breastfeed their infants to help with bonding? We do a lot of kangaroo care(
skin to skin) with our infants and we had a father who was also doing skin to
skin but taking it one step further with allowing the infant to suckle at the
breast. I would appreciate any information on this and please no remarks that
are not proffessional. If anyone knows of books or literature that is
promoting this as a way to bond please let me know.
Thanks
BShafer
