Dear Lactnetters

I have a question about a spanish mother. Her newborn has a congenital
chylotorax (hope it is the good name), with pleural extravasation. The staff
has told her that she cannot breastfeed because the baby does receive a milk
with only moderate chain fatty acids, and human milk is too rich in long
chain polyinsatured fatty acids.

It seems to me that human milk is not soooo much rich in long chain fatty
acids, but  have no experience in this special case, and no documentation.
Does some of you have experience or clinical cases?
