The listserv neatly peels off any attachments and doesn't send them.  This
is a safeguard against virus transmission and against making digests so
humongous that we can't all download them.
If you have something that can easily be pasted in to a lactnet post (and of
course is on topic) you can paste it in, in PLAIN TEXT format.  Diane
succeeded at that, and this document should be welcomed by the vast majority
of subscribers.  Don't use HTML because it makes all kinds of 'noise' in
transmission - ends up looking like alphabet soup.
If the document is rather large, you can offer to send it in individual
e-mails to anyone who contacts you.  This is a bit more work but from
experience I can promise you you won't get 2000 requests for it - more like
20 is about average.
