not true. There are places where you can eat without eating Nestle
foods. You do have to pick and choose, though.

Again not true, and never has been true. It used to be that you had to
sorta cover things up a bit or whatever, but with the 9/11 they've
dropped even that pretense. They search every bag and often run across
my stash of water, fruit, and other non-nestle lunch and snacks. We do
avoid the more obvious nestle choices (Carnation Plaza for one) and
there is absolutely no doubt that Nestle and Disney are deep within each
other's pockets. This is a personal choice we have made, as a family.
We boycotte nestle in other areas of our lives, and we try to do so at
Disneyland, but as we live close enough to set our clocks by the
fireworks in the summer, and we love the parks themselves and good ol'
mickey and friends, we've made some consessions.

Personally, I find the behavior of the adults harder to deal with on
many trips. My husband and I make a game of how long it will be with
each visit before we hear some parent screaming at their child "I've
paid good money for this vacation and you bloody well will enjoy it,
stop screaming right this minute" or something similar.

I have also had the occassion to meet other nursing mothers at
disneyland and at one point sat through a parade with four other mothers
on what we dubbed the nursing bench, as we were all nursing our children
of different ages, from a 2 month old to a quite large toddler (and I,
suprisingly enough, was NOT nursing the eldest child, for once). This
has happened more than once, where more than one mother uses the same
bench to nurse their children. I have nursed in probably all lines at
disneyland, and on some rides, including those dips in the pirates of
the carabean, and that was when my child had teeth!

And to be quite honest one of my most favorite memories of my youngest
is she and I riding the "astro orbitor" (it goes round and round like
dumbo but is faster and higher) in pouring rain for about 20 minutes
straight. We had visitors from down under and they were going to
disneyland despite the weather so we joined them, and had a blast, as no
one else was crazy enough to go to disneyland that day. Janene was not
tall enough to go into star tours so we rode this, in the rain, and got
soaked. During this trip we explored Mars, Jupitor, the moon and other
planets, and had the best time. Every few minutes they would slow the
ride down and ask if we were done, but Janene was most certainly not
done and we rode for a good long time. I'm just sad that she doesn't
remember this little adventure, but I do.

But I digress.

I agree that the story in question is horrid and if there is a way for
me to voice my opinion, I most certainly will do so. It is sad that
Nestle and Disney are so tied together, and that such baloney (wanted to
use another word...) gets published.
