Thanks to all of you for your replies on the baby who is gaining a lot of 
weight.  I will be calling the mother today and will assure her that her 
baby is fine.  I will, as I have been, encourage her to keep a check on the 
amount of supplement.  As someone pointed out babies will often drink 
excessively from a bottle.  I think that it is an effort at finding that 
post-breastfeeding sense of satisfaction and it never comes so baby stops 
when she is just too uncomfortable.
