I have been interested to read the posts regarding a lactogogue tea in South
Africa.
Rooibos Tea is not a galatogogue tea but is drunk frequently by most South
Africans. It is recommended to mothers as it does not contain caffeine or
tannin.

Fenugreek tablets seem to be the most popular galactogogue suggestd by the
doctors I work with, they presecribe 3 tablets every 8 hours. However some
women have told me that Fenugreek tea has also helped their milk supply. I
do not have experience with the tea but have seen results from the
Fenugreek tablets.
