Apropos the discussion on the possible effects of mothers' perceptions of
WIC packages on their infant-feeding decisions, this article looks as other
unintended aspects. They include the rising costs of artificial infant milk
on the shelves for other consumers. This article is from 2011.

1) Jensen E, Labbok M. Unintended consequences of the WIC formula
rebate program on infant feeding outcomes: will the new food packages be
enough? Breastfeeding Medicine 2011 (June); 6(3): 145-149.

I am offering this without comment as a further resource for reading.
