Jan, can you let us know when and where this study is being published? I
would like to read it when it does come out.
I do not believe that newborns are looking for a large feeding after birth.
In the first 6 hours post delivery, the newborn's organs are going through the
transition to extra uterine life. They do need small amounts of nourishment
to maintain their blood sugars, meet their thirst and then they want to suckle
to feel better.
I look forward to reading this work.

When I find out I will let you know. Meanwhile -- why don't you try it at
your facility and see what happens????
