Given that this is a narcotic substance with sedation as a common
side-effect this would be a contraindication to bed-sharing in my opinion.
No-one has yet researched whether there are changes in a mother's awareness
of her infant during sleep when she is taking various forms of medication --
so all guidelines in this regard are based on a common-sense caution rather
than evidence.
