All the time, here.

Problem in the UK is that fluconazole is not licensed to give to
lactating mothers.
I have a set of information I send/give to mothers about the use of
this for thrush, with references, which they can share with their
doctors.  It sometimes makes no difference. They don't want to
prescribe it.

They tell mothers 'we are not allowed to prescribe it' - not true, of
course, as medics are indeed 'allowed' to prescribe as long as they
use appropriate clinical knowledge and have patient consent.
