Remember I posted a week ago about premies and CMV? Well I called Mom
today. Her milk is STILL being tested. Like, how long can it take to find
out? She said "the latest culture was negative". She has about 40 bottles
of frozen stored milk. Freezing kills the virus, no? The baby is now 35
weeks gest. age. We are hardly talking teeny tiny premies here. Am I
missing something or is some neonatologist over-reacting wildly in this
case? Dr Jack do you have any comments? (Mom acquired CMV in pregnancy;
baby tested negative after delivery)
