I come to you all with a small problem. I have worked with a mom in the
past and she called me again with a different problem some 12 months
later.(It's nice to know she remembered me) Anyway, her daughter is 18
months old and the mom has started having shooting pains in her left
breast, sore nipples, small white spots(they disappeared rather
quickly). We discussed thrush-no visible signs in her baby-doctor won't
do a culture on baby. We also discussed teething and food particles in
her mouth. I talked with a LC in Springfield and she came up with the
same things. She still has the shooting pain occasionally, nipples are
somewhat better(bearable). Her male OB told her to wean. She's
smart-she just walked out and is still nursing-she and the baby are not
ready yet. Any other suggestions? Julie
