A Toronto mom needs help with a NIP incident. Its a long story - I've
posted a summary of events, with links for various web sources about it at:
http://www.mothering.com/discussions/showthread.php?p=2547589#post2547589

I had thought that the proper channels would take care of this (City of
Toronto) but the psuedo manager/community volunteer has refused to apologize
(since she breastfed 3 children herself, and fought for bfing rights in her
day). She is defending her actions by portrying the moms as a breast-baring
activist who took off her entire top in front of room of hockey players.
She took the private letter of complaint to a public email list, without
permission of the bfing mom, and it seems to have become an issue for the
public to decide.

I think the fact that the mom was attempting to latch on a 12-day-old and
supervise a 2 year old, would have sent a clear message to any rational
reader that this mom hardly set out that day to make a public statement to
assert breastfeeding rights. This fact seems to be left out of all
accounts.

Please provide support if you can.

(BTW, the Ontario Human Rights Commision clearly protects breastfeeding, and
the City of Toronto has sent the park advising her of City of Toronto policy
which protects breastfeeding in public. Being topless in Ontario is also
legal.)
