One of my mothers did not nurse her first child, but did manage to nurse her
second for 10 months with a demanding job.  She is now pregnant again, and
due to deliver just prior to Christmas, but she told me that she was only
nursing her third child for three months because her breasts shrank from a D
to a C, and she is worried that nursing this long again will shrink her down
to a B.  I thought that the length of nursing made no difference, and then
her reaction was -- well then maybe it is an issue of nursing vs. bottle
feeding?  This breast vanity bugs me a lot, and even though I could not
guarantee what would happen with her breast size, I offered, "Would you
honestly miss the health advantages that nursing provides your baby because
of your breast size?"  Her response, "I know it seems shallow, but it is
important to me."  I offered to share her scenario with other lactation
consultants and see what else they may have to share, but as far as I know
there isn't any magic wand that would determine cup size after this baby.
