Maybe it's just me...

but if I were a poor, persecuted mother of a dead baby who I'd
inadvertantly starved to death...

I'd be doing a lot more than pot.

I've no doubt most other mothers in her shoes but in different socio
economic groups would be relying heavily on some prozac or zoloft or what
have you.

Just an observation.
