Our hospital is currently not charging patients for our lactation services,
but plans to start an inpatient charge. If anyone has a clue as to how we
can go about this and actually get reimbursed I would appreciate your
input. Our billing department is unsure how to go about this and is looking
to me for guidance. We only charge clients that don't deliver at our
hospital for our outpatient services using the CPT Nutritional Therapy
codes and the ICD-9 codes, but am unsure if this is appropriate for
inpatient services. I am not even sure how many clients are getting
reimbursed using those codes.

Thanks!
