I was told by the hospital dietician that the 1998 JACHO guidelines require
the hospital to identify all lactating women admitted to the hospital.
Dieticians would then be required to evaluate their nutitional status and
adapt their diets because they are considered at risk for malnutrition !!!
Does anyone have any information on this ??  I asked her for a copy but have
not received it yet (hospital snail mail).
