Dear Lactnet Friends:
A practitioner of breastfeeding medicine (a pediatrician/ibclc) in my
region has said that babies with Duarte's and also babies with PKU may be
able to do some breastfeeding.
This means regular monitoring of infant blood levels and working with a
healthcare professional that will help the mother figure out how much
breastfeeding and how much formula to use.
