A pump rental customer called me the other day regarding some "flack" she
is getting at work regarding the fact that she is pumping at work.
Evidently, this mom works at a large law enforcement facility and some of
her male co-workers are "teasing" her about what she is doing on her
breaks. Of course the mother is pumping in private, but evidently word
got out as to what she was doing on her breaks. The general tone of the
comments seem to be "hasn't your kid had enough of that stuff yet" and
"how much longer are you going to do that?" and other comments with a
sexual undertone to them. My response to her was that IMHO, this type of
comments should be considered sexual harrassment and a notification
should be made to the superior. My only concern is a possible backlash
not only against this mother, but also against breastfeeding in general.

Just wondering if anybody else has heard of or experienced a similar
situation.
