I agree - it is a fine line.  It is not always simple to meet the mom where
she is.  The trick is to know when you have gone as far as you can and must
meet the mom where she is whether you agree or not.  I have, many times,
gone away from a consult or phone discussion with a mom wanting to beat my
head into a brick wall because "I" know the mom can do it - but the problem
is "She" doesn't.  For whatever reason, she doesn't trust herself enough to
go all the way and fully succeed at full at the breast breastfeeding.
Frustrating...
