I'm surprised that no one has considered the fact that bulk mail is
sorted by zip code and goes to the regional post office for that mailing
area. As someone who has done MANY bulk mailings I am not suprised at
all when one of my friends in Chicago gets mail before I do (her zip is
60091 and mine is 60446). mail for 600, 601 and 602 goes to north
suburban IL sorter and mine goes to south suburban - I'll get mine one
or two days later than she does. Hope this explains why everyone gets
their directory, etc on different days. If there is anyone to blame, I'd
put it on the post office, not the organization that does the mailing.
(Bulk mailings go to the PO all at the same time, since you pay for each
"batch")
