I find "board eligible lactation consultant" too confusing - although I
understand what she means.
My feeling is that a lactation consultant is someone who has passed the
IBCLC. Could other people working in the field be called lactation nurse or
lactation counsellor?
"Trainee lactation consultant" *does* explain what someone "in training" is
- but some grown women (and men) may not appreciate being "trainees" (sounds
like "in training pants")
It is important to work these things out, but it is not going to be easy.
