Heather writes:

<I know....who does the mother blame for her horrible experience?

Not midwives and doctors...oh no.

She blames the 'puritans' (quote) for encouraging her to breastfeed
and 'making her feel guilty' when she stopped.

She then goes on to disparage breastfeeding and to belittle its
health importance.

I hope she sees where the 'fault' really lies and complains.>

And what stood out in the article for me was that she did not take her baby
to bed with her at night, but that she got herself situated sitting up in a
chair and both she and her husband were awake and trying to cope as an
intellectual process with how to breastfeed, when the whole family could
have been comfortably in bed, dozing ad lib!
