I gently circle the crown of the baby's head w/ a fingertip (which reminds
me somehow of the old Chatty Cathy dolls - pull the string in the back and
the doll talks.)  But I guess I'd say, if what she's doing is working, no
need to interfere.  I also point out to parents that "the baby just put
down his fork -  we all do.  We don't just shovel the food in until we're
full.  Every so often we put our fork down.  When we're really enjoying our
meal, we don't rush it."  So I wouldn't be too eager to have baby pick up
the pace again...
