Before I shock a few people, I want to state that I am not suggesting in any
way that moms sell their own milk to the highest bidder. But why is
auctioning your own milk illegal but Ms. Medo's commercialization of human
milk OK???

Yes, I know these things must be regulated. We can't have every Mary in the
country selling her own milk because that just isn't right. But as long as
Abbott or Nestle sell it back to us as fortified human milk, its acceptable.
Acceptable because it will be pasteurized and fortified. Hurray for big
business!!! I think its a very interesting world we live in--by the way
there is a new patent at the US Patent Office--just happens to be called
Human Milk Fortifier with the assignee being Abbott....great patent for any
company that wants to process human milk and sell it. Lost in thought about
a world gone mad....Valerie W. McClain, IBCLC
