Yes -- infuriating.    The visiting nurse I mentioned told me, when I
challenged her on this advice, that "We just don't know what might happen."
   Trying to maintain a straight face, I asked, "Do you mean you aren't
familiar with what is known about how alcohol is metabolized in our bodies,
or that you aren't familiar with how alcohol passes from the blood into the
milk and back again?"

But what kills me is that she WAS familiar with both facts -- she had just
never bothered to put them together, and basically thought is was less her
job to THINK than it was to give instructions.

Oy.
