Pearl:  Using Nystatin cream meant for vaginal areas and myconazole gel
meant for who-knows-where on the areolas may be causing a localized
allergic reaction. Does the baby have thrush?  Were mom's nipples *red*
before the medication? Since you state that this has been getting worse,
there may be a benefit to stopping the ointments, to see if some of this
clears up.
