I loved Cathy's idea for the theme for the WBW 2006. I wholeheartedly  
support it.  What can we do to move this idea forward?
 
PS Guess who came prancing through the unit this afternoon in the midst of  
chaos (big time baby explosion)?  Our beloved and we like her Mead Johnson  
rep. Press release in hand stating how MJ is sending formula to the Gulf coast.  
She told me they were only sending 6 oz premixed formula bottles and  they 
WERE sending small bottles of sterile water.  I told  her send gallons of 
drinking water.  She also had her supply of pens.  Nice big fat blue ones with 
E......all over the place. One of the OBs said it  looked like a mini personal 
device. (He is naughty) and nice hot cinammon soft  pretzels.  I declined my pen 
and she knew why...after she left all the  greedy ones found out the price of 
free pen...it writes blue!  Too bad  can't advertise around our place. black ink 
only please.
Then the sneaky guy from Good Start showed up to get the one neo,  
fortunately I had her undivided attention while we were drawing blood on a baby  and 
told her why she shouldn't fall for his line.  She replied she knew  that but 
since this is the WIC contract we need to support him, I told her, " No  we need 
to support breastfeeding to WIC Moms, they get more attention from the  WIC 
LCs and support services if they choose to exclusively breastfeed and we  need 
to promote that rather than stock up on Good Start." God only knows  what he 
promised her.
I wish the WIC LCs could come by like the formula reps and sell  
breastfeeding for their clients.  It would be a novel idea.
