Did any of you catch it him reporting on the recent study regarding
breast cancer and the benefits of having children and of breastfeeding?
It was quite good as it showed different mothers breastfeeding.

There was footage of a black mother in Africa. It was said she would
breastfed for two years and had had several children already.

On US breast cancer statistics they presented visuals of different
cultures breastfeeding from birth and contrasting the birth rates here.
The first was a black mom who was in a hospital bed and looked as though
she had just delivered and her baby was brought to her to breastfeed.
Then there was a white mother who was more upright in her hospital bed
and her hair was already done and she was prim and proper and wearing a
jeweled hairband and had manicured red fingernails and was looking down
sideways at the infant at her breast, though one couldn’t see much. At
third depiction was a middle class Asian mom already home breastfeeding
her infant. Her young daughter, a toddler or older, was coming toward
her to look on.

It was made clear that women in the US are up against hard odds:
working, short parental leave, some getting unpaid leave. Stating moms
are back to work by six months but most were back by 3 months

post partum.

He shared the statistics regarding the % that multiple pregnancy/births
helped fend off cancer rates , and what the calculated % breastfeeding
helped. All in all, it was a good news broadcast and the most candid
breastfeeding shots of US moms I have ever seen on primetime.

Tastefully done for news. However, it was over so quickly that I
couldn’t really critique it. I would love to view it again.
