As long as it is purified fish oil (not the el cheapo, generic brand
stuff), it's fine and actually one of those things that is highly
recommended. Helps both mom and baby since the needs for DHA are so
high during those times (and fish oil is one of the things that has the
most DHA in it without having to convert it from another omega-3 fatty
acid). Some good ones that I know of (though I know there are lots
others) are Nordic Naturals, OmegaBrite and Shaklee. Kirkman Labs has
some good fish oil products too. (That company is geared mostly toward
products to treat autism, but anyone could benefit from their fish oil
products. And actually I think they are simply a distributor of Nordic
Naturals stuff.)
