I'm wondering about the association between pumping and montgomery gland
pain. This particular mom has been pumping for 18 months for a baby with
an oral aversion. (from extensive interventions during a prolonged PICU
stay). From time to time during these months pumping, she has complained
about pain in her montgomery glands. They become raised, red, and
sometimes leak milk. Is the pressure from the plastic part of the pump
adding to this problem, and if so, what can be done. Anyone have any
experience with this situation? I searched the archives, but can't seem
to see anything that associates it with pumping and a possible solution.
Thanks. Trish
